Piracy prevention for merchant shipping has been a major challenge in the minds of everyone in the maritime industry today, especially those who have already fallen victim to piracy and had to deal with paying off a high ransom to pirates as well as those who seek to overcome this challenge and pre-empt their becoming another statistic.
